Election season approaches. Can you smell it? Are you ready?
If you have not yet registered to vote, it may not be too late! You can check your state voter registration deadlines at: http://www.declareyourself.com/voting_faq/state_by_state_info_2.html
Already registered? You might want to consider early voting or absentee voting if you aren't sure you will be able to make it to the polls on election day! The Early Voting Information Center has a list of states that allow early and absentee voting as well as information about the state statutes allowing such. You can view their information at: http://earlyvoting.net/states/abslaws.php
You can also call your county clerk to find out when early voting opens in your state or to learn more about absentee voting.
If you're still undecided on the candidates, don't forget to tune into the presidential debates on September 26, October 2, October 7 and October 15. The debates begin at 9pm EST and last for 90 minutes. You can check out the debates on major broadcast networks (such as NBC or ABC) as well as on cable news outlets!
Remember, there is no excuse for apathy!

Pagans, like all Americans, are watching coverage of the Democratic and Republican conventions this week. Barak Obama has announced that Delaware Senator Joe Biden will be his choice for Vice President. John McCain has chosen Alaska governor, Sarah Palin as his choice for Vice President.
Both candidates have platforms that they believe, if implemented, will make America a stronger nation. And, like all Americans, Pagans are divided on both the issues and the candidates they support. One thing however, that we as Americans and as Pagans must not be divided on, is the importance of voting this November.
The Pagan Unity Campaign would like to encourage Pagans across the nation to educate themselves on both the candidates and the issues and then put that information to work and VOTE on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

"I am not going to question your opinions. I am not going to meddle with your belief. I am not going to dictate to you mine. All that I say is, examine, inquire. Look into the nature of things. Search out the grounds of your opinions, the for and the against. Know why you believe, understand what you believe, and possess a reason for the faith that is in you." ~Frances Wright
